The 2015 Freedom Patriots wrestling team finished up its undefeated 24-0 season by beating rival Liberty. The team broke records while making history with wins over Easton, and Northampton.

Freedom Junior Jonah Zych bumps up to 132lb and fights to the finish while giving up almost 10lbs to the Liberty wrestler. He hits a huge take-down in overtime to win. Final Freedom 32 Liberty 29
Freedom Junior Dylan Brown bumps up to 126 and pins Liberty’s Josiah Vasquez to secure the final bonus points.
Freedom bumps up Andy Evans to 112 and he gets the job done with a huge 5-3 decision over Liberty’s Darius Grant.
At 195 Senior Johnny Callahan makes it three in a row with a fall over Liberty’s Kevin in 54 seconds, adding to more bonus points for Freedom.
Next up 182 Sophomore Evan Callahan who quickly racks up more bonus points by securing another Pin over Liberty’s Chris Gallagher. Fall 2:30
Senior Jake Young takes to the mat and leads off with a huge pin, as Freedom earns six bonus points.
Started at 145 against Liberty we go two out, then Adam Evans bumps up to 160lb and defeats Liberty’s Peyton Bates 4-2 to start the ball rolling.
Senior Jake Young helped set the pace and lead his team into victory of Easton 30-27. He has been a huge asset to the Freedom Patriots success and always leads by example. He is our Freedom Wrestler of the Week.
After 48 long years the 2015 Freedom Wrestling Team makes history and defeats Easton 30-27. Coach Brandon hall and his wrestlers are on there way to a unprecedented season and are 23-0 with one more match left to close out the season perfectly.

Freedom Wrestling team Breaks School Record with 21 wins and then Goes on to Win the Juniata Duals Championship beating Mount Union in the finals 59-15.

Our outstanding wrestler of the week honors goes to 145lb Thomas Bonilla. He battled his way to victory against Emmaus wrestler Matt Hamati 7-4 and Northampton Zack Rooks 10-8 both were huge wins for Freedom.

120 lb Freedom Wrestler Jonah Zych Places 4th in the PIAA Distict XI Tournament securing him a trip to the NE Regional.
182 lb Freedom Wrestler Johnny Callahan places 5th in the PIAA District XI Tournament and advances on to the PIAA NE Regional.
106 lb Freedom Wrestler Dylan Brown passes the 30 win milestone in a season at the PIAA District XI tournament. He went on to wrestle in the finals and placed 2nd in the District securing him a trip to the regions.
Freedom Places 3rd as Jake Rugis’ and Josh Newhart capped off the comebacks to give Freedom the 34-27 victory to claim third place and some revenge.
