Varsity Wrestlers of the Week – Young, Peerson, Galasso & Spina.
Holiday Classic wrestlers of the week honors go out to Josh Young placed 4th, Tyler Peerson placed 4th, Tyler Galasso placed 6th, and Kyle Spina placed 6th.
Junior High Wrestlers of the Week Cordell, Dylan & Jake.
Cordell Cotto placed 1st, Dylan Brown placed 3rd, and Jake Rugis placed 4th in the Junior High Slaterbelt wrestling tournament in Bangor.
Jr High wrestlers of the week Cotto, Brown and Rugis place at Slaterbelt tournament.
Coach Nick’s Wrestler of the week honors goes out to three wrestlers. Cordell Cotto placed 1st, Dylan Brown placed 3rd, and Jake Rugis placed 4th in the Junior High Slaterbelt wrestling tournament in Bangor.
Cordell Cotto takes first with three wins by pin totaling mat-time 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Dylan Brown defeats a Nazareth opponent with a 2-3 decision in the semi-finals securing the third place victory. Dylan overcame a huge obstacle whom in previous years he had trouble with. Today he faced him not once but twice, winning both matches. Dylan had 4 wins on the day.
Jake Rugis goes from 210 lbs to heavy weight to place 4th with 3 wins on the day.

Cody Gonzalez got his wish, scoring a 6-4 decision over BECA’s Aaron Morekin. He was the only varsity wrestler to win.
Junior High Wrestlers Dylan, Eathan, and Alex pin BECA wrestlers.
Dylan Brown, Eathan Gottshall, and Alex Remache all pinned their Bethlehem Hawks opponents.

Cody Gonzalez Wins
December 22, 2011 – Bethlehem Catholic at Freedom in high school wrestling.
The junior 145-pounder, who wrestled for Bethlehem Catholic last season but transferred to Freedom in the offseason, would have his chance to show the Golden Hawks what they were missing.
Gonzalez got his wish, scoring a 6-4 decision over Aaron Morekin – a transfer from Whitehall. Read full article below
